Synopsis
Fantasy is threatened when the villain Crudo discovers how to destroy the Magic Book, which contains every story imagined by humanity. Mar, a girl who loves the tales her grandfather reads to her, is chosen to protect it. With Lublú, Lulila, Lupita and Lucho, she enters the book and races Crudo through famous stories. Pinocchio, Alice, Merlin, the Wizard of Oz and the Pied Piper become part of a musical adventure in which Mar recovers her imagination and even Crudo confronts the value of fantasy.
Context & Trivia
Juan Pablo Buscarini directed this Spanish-Argentine coproduction, made 80 percent in Spain and 20 percent in Argentina. RTVE lists 2018 as its production year; it reached Spanish cinemas on 18 January 2019. The film brings the established Clan puppets Lublú, Lulila, Lupita and Lucho into a feature that deliberately combines screen puppetry, live action, animation and songs. RTVE provided puppet-filming advice, technical resources and character work under its children’s-content team. This makes the Lunnis active co-stars rather than decorative cameos: they share physical scenes with Carla Chiorazzo’s Mar and guide the journey through the Magic Book.
